My heart was filled with so much joy, and I could not wait to share the news with my husband.

My husband was out of town when I found out I was expecting. The night he was due home I wrote him a little note that he would find when he walked in the door. He immediately ran to wake me with excitement when he got home. mom and dad with newborn baby laying on their bed | Pittsburgh Lifestyle Newborn Photographer

The style of the nursery is simple and neutral with many handmade pieces incorporated. I drew a sketch of what I wanted the nursery to look like and my husband handmade many of the pieces. Mom watching her newborn baby sleeping in his crib | Pittsburgh Lifestyle Newborn Photographer

Our baby's name Hendrix Charles was derived from my husbands family name Henry Charles.

I'm looking forward to getting to know him and watching him grow.

My favorite part of our photo session was seeing Laura's creativity in our photos and the way she made them tell our story. She featured many of the pieces my husband custom built for our home.

I wanted to capture the bond between us and the baby, as well as our every day lifestyle. This was important to capture because babies grow so quickly, and I would love to share these moments with him again some day.
