Interview with a Mom of a Newborn Baby | Pittsburgh Newborn Photographer

Newborn sessions are longer than most other sessions, for a couple of reasons, we want your newborn baby to sleep comfortably (while looking adorable) but when baby is hungry we need to stop to feed, and when we take off diapers... there is always the possibility of a small accident! Although newborn sessions tend to be long, they are also quite peaceful It is a nice opportunity to get to know the parents!

When was your baby born? 

Our baby girl was born on October 18, 2017.

What was your baby's height and weight at birth? 

She was 19.5 inches long and 7.4 pounds.

Was your baby early, late or on time? 

She was 4 days early.

What area of Pittsburgh do you call home? 

Just West of Pittsburgh, in Greentree.

How did you style the nursery? 

The nursery is calm and sophisticated with pale pinks, blues, teals with navy accents. There is no specific theme.

How did you chose your baby's name? 

Both Emma and Ann were names of relatives on both my mother and fathers side of the family

What are you looking forward to doing with your baby? 

I'm looking forward to watching her explore and discover new things each day.

How would you describe your newborn baby? 

She is a cuddly and vocal baby.

What has been the biggest struggle since coming home from the hospital? 

Adjusting to the unpredictability!  Just when you think you have a pattern or cue figured out she changes the script!

Why is newborn photography important to you? 

Newborn photography is important for capturing that one moment in time. She’ll never be that same baby again. Already it is hard to remember how small she was.

If any of your personal items were used during the portrait session, where were they from? Target, Pottery Barn, Etsy, etc. 

The stuffed cardinal is from Land of Nod.
