When was your baby born?

Our baby was born on August 25, 2017.

What was your newborn's height and weight at birth?

Our baby was 20 inches long and weighed 7lbs 14.5 oz

Was your baby early, late or on time?

He was exactly a week late.

What area of Pittsburgh do you call home?

We live in West View, in the North Hills of Pittsburgh.

What was your first thought when you found out you were pregnant? 

It felt pretty surreal. I was extremely excited.

How did you tell the father you were expecting? 

We were driving to NY to spend Christmas with my family and told him I had a "gift" for him before we got there, and told him the good news as we were traveling.  Needed to make sure he could keep the secret with me as everyone else would be celebrating the holiday with some drinks!

How did you style the nursery? 

We didn't know if we were having a boy or a girl so we went with neutral calm colors and added in a little "safari" theme.

How did you chose your baby's name? 

We had to decide on both a boy and girl name, we thought we had a boy name but changed our minds and started from scratch.  We kept the beginning letter and my husband suggested Connor, I liked it, and read the "meaning" ... which was "wise" as the primary meaning... and then kept reading and a secondary meaning is "hound lover" and I laughed thinking it was perfect  since we have a hound dog that is a pretty big part of our life! (I didn't tell my husband that part of the meaning until after we agreed that would be the name)

What are you looking forward to doing with your baby? 

Creating new family memories and traditions...and hopefully introducing him to tennis!

Write 3 adjectives that describe your newborn baby. 

He is alert, sweet and curious.

Share a piece of advice to an expecting mom. 

Be prepared to be flexible and go with the flow!  The newborn is in charge now, from delivery to now being at home!

What has been the biggest struggle since coming home from the hospital? 

Trying to get anything done with a baby who is super alert and doesn't want to nap!

What was your favorite part of your newborn photo session? 

Spending the time together as a family and knowing we'd have these memories captured in great photos.  Really liked the "lifestyle" session as it felt so much more natural to us.

Why is newborn photography important to you? 

The baby grows and changes so fast I wanted to make sure we were able to capture the newborn stage with really nice photos.

If any of your personal items were used during the portrait session, where were they from? Target, Pottery Barn, Etsy, etc. 

All of the prints, signs, wall decor was from Etsy.
